waterstation

The construction of the water control station was accomplished with using a generator and power tools since we had access to the site via the logging road. We even put a concrete slab on the bottom to facilitate the pipes to enter and leave underground. The water is intended to run all year round at all times. This ensures no staggnant water, always fresh as can be, and avoids freeze-up during winter. A bypass valve let all excess water go into Keen Creek which is only 100 feet (30m) away.

Grand Opening: the water is turned on for the first time and we fill up for the first time. Our tank on the truck has a capacity of 380 gallons ( 1727 litres). A pretty good load of 1.7 metric tons of water for our 3/4 ton truck. With close to 100 psi it takes only 5 minutes to fill up our tank, making it an enjoyable experience.
